Actually it is the first time in 425 days since the same score line occurred against Mbarara City FC on the 07/09/2019 at Mandela National Stadium.
MYDA FC make history as the Malaba based team, play for the first time in the Uganda Premier League. They missed their first Match Day 1 because their game against League Champions Vipers was postponed due to the latter’s engagement in Continental duties, away in Omdurman Sudan.
They host a resurgent Police FC who failed to take their chances against Wakiso Giants.
MYDA emerged from the Elgon group of the FUFA Big league to qualify to the first division way before the pandemic led to the cancelation of the sports activities in the country for the first time in over three decades.
Top tier football comes back to this part of the world at the Elgon View stadium sadly behind closed doors.

Police FC’s Frank “Zaga” Tumwesigye scooped the man of the match award against Wakiso Giants, he will have to improve on that with goals but most importantly the retainance of goal machine Ben Ocen was key in the transfer market.
