MTN Omondi Stadium

Abdallah Mubiru and the boys go into Tuesday’s game looking to continue with the brilliant start to the campaign.
The Cops made light of Kyetume, beating the side 3-1 in our previous home game, a result that temporarily took us to the top of the table, but they’ll now look at undoing the unwanted record against Tuesday’s opponent, Bul.
Police have come out on the wrong side of the coin in the previous meetings losing six of the previous seven games, but club captain Tony Mawejje says the team is prepared to put a stop to that run.
“As a team, we are very prepared for this game.” Echoed Mawejje. “We know what we want. We have been on the top and we want to stay there. So our focus is to win our next game and maintain the top position.
“Tomorrow we are going for the game very prepared knowing that we have to win to stay there.”
Indeed, bagging all the three points coupled with Vipers faltering at Kyetume will take Police back to the top of the table. The Cops currently sit second in the league with 13 points.
The gaffer insisted he has a ‘good group of players from whom we are going to select the team from tomorrow’, but also noted those absent due to injuries.
Ben Ocen, Frank Tumwesigye, Fahad Kizito, Mubarak Nsubuga and Edward Kiryowa are all still out injured.
Youngster Derrick Kakooza is still away with the Uganda Hippos in Mauritania.
