Bright Stars 2-2 Police

Police rallied twice to hold Soltilo Bright Stars 2-2 in the Uganda Premier League game played on Saturday at Kavumba recreation playground.

Bright Stars got their opening goal after 13 minutes through Samuel Kayongo before Brian Muluuli received Duncan Senninde’s through ball to loop it over Stars’ goalie for the equalizer.

Kayongo again restored Bright Stars lead after 62 minutes but once again, Muluuli levelled matters with five minutes to play to ensure both sides share spoils in Wakiso.

Police tactician Abdallah Mubiru felt pleased with the team’s performance but was concerned with the shrinking defense.

“It was a tough game as we faced opponents who are well prepared to stop us from playing the way we wanted to. It’s unfortunate we are beginning to concede goals and this is one area we wanted not to happen so frequently and we must stop that”

He added, “I want to thank my players for the effort and character they have shown. Because coming from down twice is not something easy but they have managed it.”
